Access Bath Systems is a South Bay-based family business providing a range of services to create accessibility throughout the home for seniors and the disabled. The company was created in response to frequent requests for easy access in the bathroom.

Owner Doug Martes has run a bathtub & tile refinishing company for more than 14 years, and saw the need for an affordable answer to bathroom remodel for accessibility. While refinishing, customers would frequently ask about options for elderly or handicapped relatives. Bathroom remodels can be costly, and many seniors are on a fixed income. Thus, we decided to devise an answer, and designed the EZ-Step® process.

The EZ-Step® process is a process whereby technicians cut down cast iron, steel or fiberglass bathtubs to create a walk-in shower. This eliminates the need for a new bathing unit, and is a cost-effective way to create easy entry to the shower. As an added bonus, the process is completed in only one day!

This is the idea behind Access Bath Systems, finding affordable answers for accessibility needs. In addition to the EZ-Step® shower, Access Bath Systems offers grab bars; seats and hand held shower heads as well as complete ADA compliant bathroom and home renovation. Access Bath offers a full line of bathing units to accommodate different levels of user ability without the "institutional" look.
